Privacy policy

What we collect

An email address and password hash for accounts. Deal submissions (vehicle, prices, dealership, your ZIP, deal month). Calculator inputs are stored anonymously against a shareable link with a hashed IP for rate limiting. Sessions use a single first-party cookie.

What we display

Never your name, email, ZIP code, or exact deal date. Your ZIP becomes a region label (e.g., “Santa Clara County, CA”); dates display as month/year. Dealership pages show only submitted facts with counts.

Verification documents

Purchase paperwork uploaded for document verification is stored outside the web root, visible only to moderators, and deleted after the review window; we retain only a cryptographic hash to prevent re-submission fraud.

What we never do

We do not sell or share your data with dealerships or marketers, and we do not send dealer leads. Analytics, if enabled, are privacy-respecting and cookieless.

Your rights (CCPA/CPRA and equivalents)

Delete your account any time from your account page, choosing either full deletion of your reports or anonymized retention. Email requests to the address on the contact page.
